COOPERSTOWN, NY--OTSEGO 2000 AND SUSTAINABLE OTSEGO
HOST PRE-HBO PREMIERE OF DOCUMENTARY FILM "GASLAND"
WITH LIVE APPEARANCE BY SUNDANCE FESTIVAL WINNING DIRECTOR JOSH FOX
 Co-sponsoring organizations include: The Otsego County Conservation
Association, the Advocates for Springfield, Concerned Citizens of the
Butternut Valley, Advocates for Cherry Valley, the Delaware-Otsego
Audubon Society, and the Butternut Valley Alliance.
On Wednesday, 16 June, at 7:00 pm, the documentary "Gasland" will be shown
in the Cooperstown Central High School Auditorium on Linden Avenue.
Director Josh Fox will comment on the film and take questions afterwards.
The showing is open to the public; donations will be accepted.
Robert Koehler wrote about Gasland in his Variety review:
". . . one of the most effective and expressive environmental films of
recent years . . . "Gasland" may become to the dangers of natural gas
drilling what "Silent Spring" was to DDT.”
